Altered Playing Cards: http://youtu.be/BGM9_vCy_FU

On Week One we got a selection of playing cards plain or gessoed punched in the corner to collect on a ring. This informative short video tells us about this interesting low/no risk way to experiment with any at technique or maybe simply use up some of your rarely used at supplies!

Just jump in, collect some Collage or painting supplies and see what you can come up with on this readily accessible ‘canvas!’

And of course you can add to your own playing cards if you have any deck with missing cards. And if you Google or look at Interest you will see a phantasmagoria plethora of possibilities for this repurposed piece of coated card stock. Some artists have even kept some of the card element show through with their unique creations.

Give it a try and please bring in some of your miniature works of at on Week Six and Week Twelve to Show and/or Trade! By all means if you have a calling or business card take or glue it on the back of the card. Given out to people these enhanced business cards are sue to be noticed!

About canmexartistway

I am a happily retired teacher/expat to be now relocated to the spectacularly beautiful Harbour City of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. During snowbird six I decided to morph from snowbird to Mexpat! I'm taking the 'scenic route' geographically and metaphorically during the next 5 to 6 months as I downsize, downsize, downsize in preparation for an international move in the fall.
