Recap of Week Two Proportion

Standard

I’m writing this a few days after the session and now in the light of the sudden, unexpected death of SMA’s most famous Canadian expat, Toller Cranston.

The last topics we discussed were size and shape shifting and Cranston epitomizes both to the n’t degree, in my opinion. Some articles really concentrate on his figure skating achievements and others on his ‘Peacock with a Paintbrush’ public persona and private personality. And his massive 70,00 plus collection of life work both for sale and sold and hanging on walks in galleries and private residences worldwide.  Just as a benchmark of this astonishing number, I researched Van Gough.

His number? 2500 mas o menos.

Getting back to the size and shape shifting questions here are both top ten lists.

Tomorrow we will delve into the theme of Perspective but starting with a look first at size and shape shifting. I would say that most expats would be familiar with both and the reasons that motivated their life altering decision to become an ex patriot whether you moved here with two suitcases or itemized most of your worldly possessions in two languages and did the one time household effects move across the Laredo, Texas/ Mexico border in a large moving van.

Be prepared for a lively discussion!

And yes, we will also have some silent mandala colouring time! I found a wonderful site with free mandala meditation colouring pages which I am printing out for the group.

About canmexartistway

I am a happily retired teacher/expat to be now relocated to the spectacularly beautiful Harbour City of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. During snowbird six I decided to morph from snowbird to Mexpat! I'm taking the 'scenic route' geographically and metaphorically during the next 5 to 6 months as I downsize, downsize, downsize in preparation for an international move in the fall.
